The music world was shaken by the release of Beatles vault outtakes by bootleggers in 1988. Little did any one know the floodgates were about to be opened. The material found in the six CDs in the Ultra Rare Trax series were about to be joined by more outtakes compilations from other companies. For its part EMI (the Beatles label in the UK), which had prior to 1988 denied that such tapes existed, was slow to react. Aside from the usual cease and desist letters to retailers, The Beatles’ camp didn’t seem in a hurry to counter the bootleggers with authorized product.

All tracks are pitch, phase, level and drop out repaired from the best possible sources - meaning each track should be as close to the original studio sessions as possible.
